Got this in 2008 from Cannon Motorcycles in Braintree. Had it for 18 months and then traded it in against a Benelli TNT 1130 at Hyside Motorcycles in Romford in 2010. Reg SN05 FUF.
Bike sold in Feb 2010 and can see the bike was Taxed and MOT's until April 2011 but since then nothing has changed at the DVLA, but it is still recorded!
It was quick and handled pretty well. Ride was on the harsh side and wasn't keen on overly bumpy roads. The power came in with a bit of a snap, but I got used to it.
Being honest it wasn't one of my favourite rides and that is why I only kept it for 18 months. Mechanically it was fairly noisy. At first it seemed like the engine was about to explode, but after speak with other owners of this model and hearing their engines then this sound was normal, apparently!
Like I say, the ride was fairly harsh and the throttle snappy. Fine if you wanted to go out for a quick blast, on a track day or fine if you wanted to go quickly all the time. But it wasn't overly happy at slower speeds and around town where you'd have to keep on top of it in case it misbehaved. It wasn't the quickest bike around nor was it really a bike I'd want to too many miles touring around country lanes so wasn't really sure where the bike sat exactly.
It was my first, and currently the only, Aprilia I've owned to date.
I did fit a Blue Flame exhaust and moved to a 15T from sprocket but part from that not much needed doing to it, excepting having to get the side stand welded at one point as it was about to snap.
You don't seem to see many of these on the roads today!

I part exchanged the bike against a Benelli TNT 1130 back in early 2010 at Hyside in Romford (before they moved to Maldon).
According to DVLA in 2026 the bike is still registered but it's last MOT was the one I got in 2010. Last change of keeper was May 2010, a few months after I'd traded it in, and with the last tax ending in April, suggesting it was ended early ,then I suspect this bike may be no-more!
