Yamaha RD200DX (1978)

My second bike after the a Suzuki AP50 and purchased new from Eddy Grimstead's in Ilford in 1977 for £579.

Fantastic bike, had loads of fun with it and thrashed it every day for the 18 months I was using it as my main ride. Did have to rebore at about 18k but apart from that it was bulletproof.

Sold it to a chap who lived up the road and no idea where it went then. I can see from the DVLA site that it's still registered but no updates since 1982 so it's either in a shed or gone to meet its ancestors.

The Suzuki AP50 isn't even registered with DVLA so I guess it was a fatality at some point!
